The Bahá’í Faith is a global religion embraced by millions around the world.
Bahá’ís are the followers of Bahá’u’lláh, a Divine Messenger whose teachings offer a vision of unity and peace for humanity. His principles provide a foundation for building a just and harmonious global society, which include:
▪ The oneness of humankind
▪ Harmony between science and religion
▪ The elimination of all forms of prejudice
▪ The equality of women and men
▪ The unity of all religions
▪ The importance of universal education
▪ The development of spiritual qualities
▪ The integration of worship and service
▪ The nurturing of relationships that unite individuals, communities, and institutions in humanity’s path toward collective maturity.
These teachings call each person to contribute to the betterment of the world through both personal transformation and service to others.

Bahá’u’lláh (1817–1892), meaning “the Glory of God”, is the Prophet-Founder of the Bahá’í Faith. Foretold by the Messengers of the past, His coming ushered in a new Revelation, revealing a divine framework for lasting peace and unity, and the spiritual and material advancement of humanity.

The Báb (1819–1850), whose title means “the Gate,” held a two-fold station. He was a Manifestation of God who ushered in a new Revelation calling humanity to a spiritual and moral transformation. He also prepared the way for the imminent advent of Bahá’u’lláh.

'Abdu’l-Bahá (1844–1921), meaning “Servant of Bahá”, was the eldest son of Bahá’u’lláh. Bahá’u’lláh appointed ‘Abdu’l-Bahá as His successor, the interpreter of His teachings, and the Centre of His Covenant. ‘Abdu’l-Bahá exemplified the teachings of the Faith through His life of service, wisdom, and compassion.

Shoghi Effendi (1897–1957) was appointed as the Guardian of the Bahá’í Faith by ‘Abdu’l-Bahá in His Will and Testament. As the Guardian, Shoghi Effendi translated many of the Bahá’í writings into English, established the foundations of the Bahá’í administrative order, developed the Faith’s spiritual and administrative centre in Israel, and offered profound guidance through his extensive writings.

The Universal House of Justice (1963-present) is the international governing body of the Bahá’í Faith. Composed of nine members elected every five years by all the National Spiritual Assemblies from around the world, it directs the spiritual and administrative affairs of the Bahá’í International Community, in accordance with the principles laid down by Bahá’u’lláh.

"Love all religions and all races with a love that is true and sincere, and show love through deeds..."
