We live and work on the traditional territories of the people of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, which includes the Siksika, Piikani, and Kainai Nations of the Blackfoot Confederacy, the Tsuut’ina Nation, and the Stoney Nakoda Nations, comprised of the Bearspaw, Chiniki, and Goodstoney First Nations. This land is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3.
As Bahá’ís, we believe in the oneness of humanity and the essential need for justice. Acknowledging the truth of this land’s history is a small but meaningful step toward reconciliation. We recognize the enduring presence, wisdom, and spiritual connection of Indigenous peoples to this land, and we express our gratitude and respect.
